Gluten-Free Sweet and Spicy Pulled Beef Sandwiches
This delicious sweet and spicy pulled beef recipe is easy to make, packed with so much flavor. This pulled beef sandwich is easy to make for a crowd, and will have everyone coming back for seconds!
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup1/3 cup1/3 cup Pineapple Habanero Jam - Profanity Jam
- 1.25 lb1.25 lb1.25 lb Beef Tri-Tip Roast - US Wellness Meats
- 1/2 tsp1/2 tsp1/2 tsp Himalayan Pink Salt
- 2 tsp2 tsp2 tsp Little Palates Baby-Q Seasoning - Primal Palate
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Olive Oil, separated
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Vidalia Onion, sliced
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Beef Broth
- 1/2 cup1/2 cup1/2 cup Honey Sweet BBQ Sauce - Rufus Teague
- 1/4 cup1/4 cup1/4 cup Unsweetened Classic Ketchup - Yo Mama's Foods
- 111 Gluten-Free and Vegan Large Baguette – Gifted Breads
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Butter, Unsalted
- 2 tsp2 tsp2 tsp Lemon Juice
- 1.5 cup1.5 cup1.5 cup Avocado Ranch Salad Mix - Trader Joe's, just the greens
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Mayonnaise
- 1/2 tsp1/2 tsp1/2 tsp Kosher Flake Salt - Primal Palate
Process
Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Preheat your instant pot to saute.
- Season your tri tip steak with the kosher flake salt on all sides.
- Sear the steak in the instant pot on all sides, just enough so that you have a nice brown crust on the meat.
- Remove the steak from the instant pot, and place on a large plate.
- Drizzle one tablespoon of the olive oil in the bottom of the Instant Pot, and add the sliced onions to the instant pot. Saute the onions while you sesaon the beef.
- Season the steak with the Little Palates BBQ seasoning on all sides.
- Once the onions start to soften and brown a bit, pour the beef broth into the instant pot, and stir the onions into the broth.
- Place the steak into the instant pot, seal the lid on top, and pressure cook for 90 minutes.
- Once the steak has cooked in the instant pot for 90 minutes, do the quick pressure release, remove the stead from the instant pot, and shred with two forks.
- In a large sauce pot, combine the barbecue sauce, ketchup, and Profanity Jam. Heat over medium heat, and stir while the sauce comes to a bubble.
- Add the shredded beef to the sauce pot, and stir to combine evenly in the sauce. Turn the burner down to low to keep the beef warm while you prepare the other ingredients.
- Warm the baguette in the oven according to the instructions on the package.
- Once the baquette is fully warmed, slice, and brush the sliced side with butter and toast on the grill or in a skillet .
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the salad mix greens, with the lemon juice, and other tablespoon of olive oil.
- Once the baguette slices are toasted, you can build your sandwhiches.
- Spread mayo on the baguette slices, and then top with the shredded beef, and greens. Sprinkle the greens with a pinch of kosher flake salt if desired.
- Add the top piece of the baguette slices to the sandwiches, and enjoy.
