Ingredients

Process

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. Preheat your oven to bake at 350, and line an 8x8 baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt 4 ounces of the chocolate chips over low heat or using a double boiler, stirring often, and being mindful that the chocolate does not burn if you are not using a double boiler.
  3. Once the chocolate has melted, remove it from the heat and allow it to cool slightly while you start working on the brownie batter.
  4. Place 8 ounces of room temperature butter into a large mixing bowl, and add the maple sugar. Blend with a hand mixer until the butter is light and fluffy and the maple sure is fully combined.
  5. Add in the vanilla and eggs, and blend again until the mixture is light and fluffy, and light in color. About 5 minutes.
  6. Sift in the gluten free flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Blend with a hand mixer again until fully combined, being sure to scrape down the sides of the bowl.
  7. Pour in the melted chocolate, and blend again until fully combined.
  8. Stir in the remaining 4 ounces of chocolate chips, and pour the batter into your prepared baking dish. Smooth the batter into an even layer.
  9. Place the pan of brownies into the center of the oven on the middle rack, and back for 30-35 minutes.
  10. Allow to cool, remove from the pan, and slice into 9 squares.
