Ingredients

Process

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. Slice the roll open to make a sandwich then toast it face down in a large dry skillet until it's slightly brown and a bit crisp. Remove it then set it aside.
  2. In the same large skillet you used to toast the roll fry the ground beef until it's no longer pink. Then drain the fat and remove the meat to a large bowl.
  3. Add 1-2 tbsp oil to the pan and fry the sliced onion until softened and a little bit charred, (or you can use the drained fat from the meat for more flavor).
  4. While the onion is sautéing add a pinch of salt to it.
  5. Once the onion is cooked add the ground beef back into the skillet and combine.
  6. Top the ground beef with the American Cheese then cover the skillet with a lid until the cheese is melted.
  7. Place the ground beef onto the roll and top as desired with ketchup, pickles, roasted peppers.

Notes

Other topping options can include: Cheese Wiz to replace the American cheese Shredded Lettuce Tomatos Hot Peppers You can use a gluten-free roll if needed.
