Even the boxed organic chocolate milks contain gellan gum and “natural flavors” that aren’t so natural after all. Making yours homemade not only tastes better but is better for you, too!

  1. In a small saucepan, bring the milk to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat to a simmer and stir in the cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and sea salt. Whisk well.
  3. Pour into cups and top with optional whipped cream, marshmallows, and cacao nibs. If turning into chocolate milk, chill in the fridge for an hour. Enjoy!
