Healthy Magic Bars
I've been making these Healthy Magic Bars for years, and they're still one of our family favorites we keep coming back to! They combine a few of my personal favorite things - chocolate, pecans, and coconut - with a nutritious twist. I think they'll be a fast favorite in your world as well!
Ingredients
Crust
- 1.75 cups1.75 cups1.75 cups Almond Flour

- 0.75 cup0.75 cup0.75 cup Coconut, Shredded, unsweetened
- 0.5 cup0.5 cup0.5 cup Coconut Oil, melted
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Cinnamon, Ground

- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Vanilla Extract

- 0.5 tsp0.5 tsp0.5 tsp Salt

Toppings
- 15 oz15 oz15 oz Coconut Milk, 1 can
- 0.25 cup0.25 cup0.25 cup Pure Maple Syrup

- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Baking Chocolate Chips

- 0.5 cup0.5 cup0.5 cup Pecans, roughly chopped

- 0.75 cup0.75 cup0.75 cup Coconut Flakes, Unsweetened

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line an 8 x 8 baking pan with parchment paper.
- To a bowl, add all of the crust ingredients. Mix well to incorporate completely.
- Pour the crust dough into the bottom of the pan, using your fingers to press into an even layer. Bake for 15 minutes. When finished, set aside.
- While crust is baking, pour coconut milk and maple syrup into a small sauce pan. Bring to a low simmer and cook down for about 45 minutes, until thickened.
- Top crust with chocolate chips, pecans and coconut flakes. When the sauce has cooled slightly, pour over the toppings and crust.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until edges are golden brown.
- Cool on the countertop before placing in the fridge for at least 2 hours to allow the bars to set up.
- Slice into 9 or 16 squares, and enjoy!
