Healthy Strawberry Banana Smoothie
This healthy strawberry banana smoothie is made without yogurt and is completely dairy free, paleo and vegan friendly! This nutritious smoothie is made with frozen strawberries, ripe bananas and contains hidden veggies such as cauliflower and beet root powder. It's an excellent smoothie for kids and adults.
Ingredients
- 2 cups2 cups2 cups Frozen Strawberries
- 2 whole2 whole2 whole Banana
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Cauliflower, (steamed then frozen)
- 0.5 whole0.5 whole0.5 whole Avocado
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Hemp Hearts
- 2 tsp2 tsp2 tsp Red Beet Powder
- 0.25 cup0.25 cup0.25 cup Coconut Milk
Process
Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Place all ingredients in a high powered blender or food processor.
- Turn the blender on and blend the ingredients, starting at a low speed and gradually increasing the speed. Blend until smooth, stopping to scrape the sides when/if necessary.
- Pour smoothie into a bowl or cup.
- Add favorite toppings (optional) and serve immediately.
Notes
For the cauliflower, you'll want pre-steamed and then frozen cauliflower florets. I steam my own in a steamer pot, then place them on a lined baking sheet to freeze. Once frozen, I place the cauliflower in baggies and keep them in the freezer until I want to use them in smoothies.
