Instant Pot Bbq Beef Short Ribs
This is one of those recipes that impresses everyone but is so easy to put together.
This recipe can be done in a slow cooker but you would need to near the meat on the stove first. I would then cook the meat on low for 8 hours.
Ingredients
- 4 lb4 lb4 lb Beef Short Ribs - Bachman Family Farms

- 3 tsp3 tsp3 tsp Steak Seasoning - Primal Palate

- 1 whole1 whole1 whole Vidalia Onion, Sliced
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Liquid Smoke, Hickory
- 1 sprig1 sprig1 sprig Rosemary, Fresh

- 1.25 cups1.25 cups1.25 cups Golden BBQ Sauce, Unsweetened - Primal Kitchen, Or your favorite bbq sauce
- 0.5 cup0.5 cup0.5 cup Chicken Broth, Low Sodium

- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Red Wine, Cabernet Sauvignon, You can substitute with beef broth
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp ARGILOS II GREEN Extra Virgin Olive Oil (500ml) - Argilos

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- 1. Set you instant pot to sauté
- 2. Rub your steak seasoning on all sides of the short ribs.
- 3. Once the instant pot is hot add your olive oil and sear the meat in batches. Make sure not to over crowd the meat so it can get a good crust.
- 4. Once the meat is seared on all sides remove from the instant pot and deglaze the pot with the red wine.
- 5. Add the meat and the remaining ingredients into the instant pot and set on presser cook for 1 1/2 hours.
Notes
These short ribs are great served with mashed potatoes, veggies or even rice. The sauce if so flavorful too! I love using the instant pot. It helped the meat tenderize quickly and everything is don’t in one pan!
