Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- In a medium sized bowl, add your cheese mixture, cream cheese mixture, chopped jalapeños and bacon bits
- Mix well and set aside
- Prepare a baking tray with a wire rack to rest your poppers on over the stove top, set aside
- Fill a deep pot at least one thrid of the way with cooking oil (I used vegtable oil, use whatever you prefer)
- Allow your oil to heat up, you know your oil is ready for frying once a wooden spoon is placed into the oil and starts bubbling around it
- On a cutting board, lay out your wonton wrappers flat and prepare a bowl of water, set aside
- Scoop 1 tsp of your cheese mixture onto the middle of each wrapper
- Dip your finger into the bowl of water and run it around each edge of the wrapper
- Fold your wrapper into a triangle shape and seal tight with your hand, set aside on a plate and repeat with the rest of the wrappers
- Once oil is hot enough, fry on each side for about 4min each or until golden brown
- Remove poppers from oil and allow them to cool for a few minutes before serving
- In a small bowl, mix your Zoë Hot Honey and mayonnaise together - this dipping sauce is amazing yet optional!
- Serve with a few extra Jalapeños on top of the wontons and your sauce on the side, enjoy!
Notes
Be sure to thaw the wonton wrappers the night before you make this recipe in the fridge, so they are ready to wrap! You can add more Jalapeños if you like more spice. You can also make these ahead of time and pop them in the air fryer right before your guests arrive to serve them hot. This recipe makes about 30 wrappers, perfect for a party.
