Mini Apple Caramel Crumble Pies
Prepping for your summer body? Introducing my mini and skinny apple pie bites! Eating your fruits doesn't always have to be so boring. Indulge in these mini apple caramel crumble pies because a tiny bite never hurt anybody.
Ingredients
Filling
- 12 whole12 whole12 whole Mini Tart Shells, frozen
- 5 whole5 whole5 whole Apple, Organic, (medium sized apples, if small, use 6)
- 3 Tbsp3 Tbsp3 Tbsp Lemon Juice
- 3 Tbsp3 Tbsp3 Tbsp Dulce de Leche, (I used Bonne Maman brand)
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp All Purpose Flour
- 5 Tbsp5 Tbsp5 Tbsp Cinnamon, Ground, (or more if desired)
- 0.333 cup0.333 cup0.333 cup Granulated White Sugar
Topping
- 0.5 cup0.5 cup0.5 cup Oats, Rolled
- 0.333 cup0.333 cup0.333 cup Brown Sugar
- 0.333 cup0.333 cup0.333 cup Butter, Unsalted, (cubbed small)
- 3 Tbsp3 Tbsp3 Tbsp Cinnamon, Ground

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Begin by washing, drying, peeling and removing the core of each apple
- Remove tarts from the freezer and lay them on a baking tray for about 10min to allow them to thaw
- Cube your apples into small bites, set aside in a bowl
- Cover apples with cinnamon and sugar, let rest for 2 minutes
- Poke holes with a fork into your pie shells and set aside
- Bring a medium-sized pot over the stove to medium heat
- Add your apples to the pot along with the lemon juice, stir
- Allow your apples to cook down for about 15 minutes or until they are mushy
- Mix in your dulce de leche to the apples for it to melt into the mixture
- Add your flour and remove from heat
- Allow apple mixture to cool
- While cooling, bake your pie tarts in a preheated over at 400F for 10 minutes, or until edges of shells are golden brown
- While tarts are baking, get started on your topping
- In a small bowl mix oats, cinnamon and butter together with a fork
- Remove tarts from the oven and fill each tart with about 1 tbsp of apple pie filling each
- Top the apple pies with 1sp of your butter topping
- Bake in the oven for another 5 minutes, until the butter has melted and crisped up
- Remove from oven and allow to come to room temperature before serving OR serve HOT with a side of ice cream
- Enjoy!
