Quick and Easy Taco Meat (Edit recipe)

Tacos are a staple in a lot of family’s households during the week and I know why! They are one of the easiest meals you can make on a weeknight when you have a lot of activities going on. This taco meat only takes about 10 minutes to make and getting the whole meal on the table took under 30 minutes. The one thing special about this taco meat is that the seasoning is not from a package- it is all made from spices that you probably already have in your pantry. My goal is to show you that you can make Quick and Easy Taco Meat with ingredients you already have and that are actually a lot better for you!

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. Brown the ground meat in a pan on medium for about 8 minutes.
  2. In the meantime, mix all the seasonings in a small bowl.
  3. When the meat is almost cooked through, add the seasoning to the pan with 2 Tbsp of water. Stir the meat and let simmer for another 2 minutes.
  4. Serve with your favorite taco toppings and enjoy!

Notes

If you like this seasoning, make a large batch so it easier for meals later on // Use any ground meat that you prefer or have on hand // Tacos are a great meal to prep for the week for lunches, so don’t be afraid to make extras // If you like it a little spicier, add a small amount of cayenne to give it a kick.
