Spicy Cherry Sleepy Girl Mocktail (Edit recipe)

I’ve been making this mocktail since my first pregnancy, so for about 5 years. This was prior to my knowing much, if anything, about how beneficial tart cherry juice can be for sleep! Now that the “sleepy girl” mocktail is a Tik Tok sensation, I figure I should share my take on the beverage.

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. Utilizing a 22 oz glass (large glass), add your ice and cherry juice.
  2. Peel your small knob of ginger. I like to use a spoon to do this part! This is where the spice comes from so if you don’t love ginger, take it easy. Grate the knob into your cup.
  3. Utilize a peeler to save a bit of rind from your lemon if you’d like to garnish your drink. Cut the lemon in half and squeeze its juice into your cup.
  4. Add maple syrup and then fill to the rim with sparkling water. I drink this enough that I’ve invested in a soda stream!
  5. Stir with a straw, garnish and enjoy!
