Vietnamese Grilled Lemongrass Chicken (Gà Nướng Sả) | Keto Friendly
Gà nướng sả (grilled lemongrass chicken) is a super easy recipe to prepare for the grill! Grill it to perfection, and you’ll have the most mouthwatering, tender, and juicy chicken recipe ever! Lemongrass is the main focus here, so don’t be shy with the quantity and adjust to your taste!
Ingredients
- 2 lb2 lb2 lb Boneless Skinless Chicken Thigh
- 3 Tbsp3 Tbsp3 Tbsp Lemongrass, minced, to taste
- 3 Tbsp3 Tbsp3 Tbsp Shallot, minced
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup1/2 cup1/2 cup Allulose, powdered, to taste
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Mushroom Seasoning
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Black Pepper
- 1/2 Tbsp1/2 Tbsp1/2 Tbsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 Tbsp1/2 Tbsp1/2 Tbsp Onion Powder
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Fish Sauce, Red Boat brand
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Premium Keto Oyster Sauce (click for recipe)
- 1.5 Tbsp1.5 Tbsp1.5 Tbsp Shallot-Infused Oil, or avocado oil (see notes)

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Use a meat tenderizer with stainless steel blades (or a fork) to tenderize the chicken thighs. This will help to absorb the marinade and shorten the grilling time.
- Add the chicken thighs and all other ingredients to a large bowl. Mix well and cover the bowl with saran wrap. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours (if time permits).
- Grill on medium low heat until brown and slightly charred. Serve with cauliflower fried rice, fried egg, (pickled) vegetables, chopped lettuce and keto friendly dipping sauce (keto nước chấm).
Notes
Shallot oil is recommended, but if time does not permit, avocado oil can be used instead. For the shallot oil, use the same method as making fried shallots. Watch at 3:30 mark and use the fried shallots for another dish: Watch here
