homemade bbq sauce
I am a firm believer that a sauce, condiment, or dressing truly elevates any dish. bbq sauce is a midwest staple & of course there are several delicious one's to buy, but it's also fun to mix & match different fruits/spices to make a unique homemade bbq sauce! here I am sharing my chipotle raspberry bbq sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Frozen Raspberries, or fruit of choice
- 6 oz6 oz6 oz Tomato Paste
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
- 0.25 cup0.25 cup0.25 cup Classic Monkfruit Sweetener (with Allulose) - Lakanto
- 0.5 tsp0.5 tsp0.5 tsp Garlic Powder
- 0.5 tsp0.5 tsp0.5 tsp Onion Powder
- 0.5 tsp0.5 tsp0.5 tsp Smoked Paprika, or use regular paprika + 1/2 t liquid smoke
- 0.25 tsp0.25 tsp0.25 tsp Chipotle Powder, optional, but brings the heat!
- 0.5 tsp0.5 tsp0.5 tsp Redmond Real Salt Chef’s Blend Smoked Salt
- 0.5 tsp0.5 tsp0.5 tsp Black Pepper

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- in a small pan, add all ingredients.
- bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer for 8-10 minutes.
- remove from heat, then add to a food processor or blend with an immersion blender to puree.
- serve as you would any bbq sauce!
