Skillet Salmon Fillets
Lately we’ve been making skillet salmon fillets about once a week. They’re super quick and easy. What’s great about salmon is it’s so versatile and handles various cooking methods so well. Be it on the grill or cedar plank, roasted in the oven or even gently cooked in the Sous Vide, salmon cooks up like a champ each time.
Ingredients
Salmon Fillet
- 12 oz12 oz12 oz Wild Caught Salmon Filet, 2, 6 oz., Skin on
- 2 tsp2 tsp2 tsp Primal Palate Seafood Seasoning
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Avocado Oil
Sautéed Greens
- 222 Baby Kale, large handfuls
- 111 Yellow Onion, small, sliced into half moon rings
- .5 cup.5 cup.5 cup Baby Bella Mushrooms, sliced
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Ghee, or butter
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
- Salt and Pepper, to taste

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
Sautéed Greens:
- Melt butter over medium low heat in a cast iron skillet. Once melted, add onions and saute until tender. Add baby kale and mushrooms and allow greens to wilt.
- Season with salt, pepper and spices and allow to cook down.
Seared Salmon Fillets:
- Heat a medium cast iron skillet over medium heat and add avocado oil.
- While skillet is heating, season salmon fillets on the flesh side with Seafood Seasoning and set aside to come up to room temperature.
- Once skillet is nice and hot, add salmon fillets skin side down. Cook for 5-7 minutes or until cooked ¾ of the way through.
- Flip salmon fillets and cook an additional 2-3 minutes or until slightly firm to the touch.
- Remove from skillet and serve over sauteed greens. Enjoy!
