I have watched many tableside preparations of this delicious dip through the years and tried various preparations. This is my tried-and-true version that's perfect as a condiment for taco night or to scoop up with your favorite thick-cut tortilla chips.

- Cut and remove pits from avocados. Add avocado to a large bowl and mash with a fork. Add in ¼ cup finely diced white onion, ½ diced jalapeno, 1 diced roma tomato, ¼ cup fresh cilantro and stir to combine.
- Squeeze in juice of 1 lime and season with salt, pepper and ground cumin. Stir to combine. Taste, adjust seasoning and serve.
- Store leftover guacamole in a refrigerator with plastic wrap pressed against the surface. This will help keep the guacamole vibrant and avoid browning from oxidation.
