Easy Guacamole
This Easy Guacamole recipe is inspired by my many trips to the Jalisco city of Puerto Vallarta, and it's how I've been making guac for years. I have watched many tableside preparations of this delicious dip through the years and tried various preparations. This is my tried-and-true version that's perfect as a condiment for taco night or to scoop up with your favorite thick-cut tortilla chips.
Ingredients
- 3 whole3 whole3 whole Avocado, large, ripe
- .25 cup.25 cup.25 cup White Onion, finely diced
- .5 whole.5 whole.5 whole Jalapeño Pepper, diced
- 1 whole1 whole1 whole Roma Tomato, diced
- .25 cup.25 cup.25 cup Cilantro, chopped
- .5 tsp.5 tsp.5 tsp Sea Salt
- .125 tsp.125 tsp.125 tsp Black Pepper
- .25 tsp.25 tsp.25 tsp Cumin, Ground
- 1 whole1 whole1 whole Lime
Process
Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Cut and remove pits from avocados. Add avocado to a large bowl and mash with a fork. Add in ¼ cup finely diced white onion, ½ diced jalapeno, 1 diced roma tomato, ¼ cup fresh cilantro and stir to combine.
- Squeeze in juice of 1 lime and season with salt, pepper and ground cumin. Stir to combine. Taste, adjust seasoning and serve.
- Store leftover guacamole in a refrigerator with plastic wrap pressed against the surface. This will help keep the guacamole vibrant and avoid browning from oxidation.
