Nutmeg, Fig & Brie Crostini
A super simple festive appetizer has arrived for your holiday spreads! These nutmeg, fig, and brie crostini are the perfect balance between sweet and salty.
Ingredients
- 0.333 whole0.333 whole0.333 whole Nutmeg, (I used Josie's Sweet Caviar Brand)

- 0.5 whole0.5 whole0.5 whole Brie Cheese, (I used Président brand, small format)
- 0.333 cup0.333 cup0.333 cup Fig Jam
- 15 pieces15 pieces15 pieces Thyme, Fresh, (for garnish)

- 15 pieces15 pieces15 pieces Bread, (I used pre made mini crostini bread, store bought ones, you can make yours home made)

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Open brie and cut the wheel into half, making mini cubes for each crostini piece, set aside
- Lay out your crostini bites onto the tray
- Spread 1 tsp of fig jam onto each crostini bite
- Top off with brie onto each crostini bite
- Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg and small pieces of fresh thyme
Notes
This recipe makes approximately 15 to 20 bites, depending on how large your crostini is. For an extra layer of flavour, you can torch your brie pieces before placing the thyme over them.
