Process

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. Season the beef
  2. Pat brisket dry and rub evenly with the carnitas seasoning on all sides.
  3. Sear (optional but recommended)
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear beef 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Transfer to crockpot.
  5. Add sliced onion and garlic around the beef.
  6. Pour in beef broth, orange juice, lime juice, and apple cider vinegar.
  7. Slow cook on Low: 8–10 hours or High: 5–6 hours
  8. Cook until very tender and easily shreddable.
  9. Shred beef and enjoy
