Tiramisu Trifle
Breaking news - there's raw egg yolk in my family's secret tiramisu recipe! Don't worry, you'll survive, though. Recipe below!
Ingredients
- 2 whole2 whole2 whole Egg Yolk
- 1 pint1 pint1 pint Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Granulated White Sugar

- 4 oz4 oz4 oz Cream Cheese, Full Fat, softened (half of a brick)
- 101010 Ladyfingers
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Espresso, brewed + 1 Tbsp sugar

- 5 Tbsp5 Tbsp5 Tbsp Dutch Processed Cocoa Powder, sifted, for garnish

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Brew your espresso and mix in your sugar; set aside
- In a medium bowl, mix your two egg yolks and cream cheese with a hand or stand mixer until they’re creamed
- In another bowl, whip your whipping cream with your sugar until stiff peaks form; set aside
- Mix your whipping cream with the cream cheese mixture until combined
- In a serving glass tray, dip your ladyfinger cookies into your espresso and line the bottom of the tray with the cookies
- Cover the ladyfingers with your cream mixture and repeat until the tray is filled up!
- Sprinkle cocoa powder over the final layer of the tiramisu
Notes
Yes, this is a NO BAKE dessert. Best enjoyed the following day and cold!
