2-ingredient lemon bars are the best easy dessert, bursting with bright citrus flavor and a light, fluffy texture. Made with just a box of angel food cake mix and a can of lemon pie filling, they come together in minutes and bake into sweet, golden perfection. The result is a soft, chewy lemon treat with just the right balance of tangy and sweet. Perfect for potlucks, spring gatherings, or a quick and crowd-pleasing dessert

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix the pie filling with the angel food cake powder in a bowl.
  3. This is a thick batter so stir slowly so you don’t make a mess.
  4. Grease your cake pan with shortening.
  5. Pour the mixed lemon bar batter into the 9X13 pan, I used a glass Pyrex pan to bake mine in.
  6. Bake the lemon bars for about 24-28 minutes, the top of the cake will brown a bit as it gets done.
  7. Remove and allow to partly cool at least before serving.
  8. You can sprinkle with powdered sugar, one of my kids also put spray whipped topping on theirs.
