Amish Friendship Bread Recipe! No Starter Kit Required!

- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Butter, Salted
- 2 cups2 cups2 cups Granulated White Sugar
- 222 Egg
- 2 cups2 cups2 cups Buttermilk
- 4 cups4 cups4 cups All Purpose Flour
- 2 tsp2 tsp2 tsp Baking Soda
Amish Friendship Bread Sugar Mixture
- 0.666 cup0.666 cup0.666 cup Granulated White Sugar
- 2 tsp2 tsp2 tsp Cinnamon, Ground
Process
Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- If you don't have buttermilk in a bowl or glass, put two cups of milk and add either 2 Tablespoons of vinegar or lemon juice, and allow it to set.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease two loaf pans
- In a mixer, cream together butter, sugar, and eggs.
- Next, add the milk, flour, and baking soda into the mixer until well mixed.
- Pour 1/4 of the mixed batter into each of your greased loaf pans.
- In a separate bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon.
- Take the cinnamon-sugar mixture and sprinkle about 3/4 of it between the two pans on top of the bread batter.
- Pour the remaining batter evenly into the bread pans.
- Sprinkle both pans with the remaining cinnamon/sugar mixture.
- Take a knife and swirl it through the batter in each pan.
- Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick tester inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 20 minutes before removing from the pan.
