Air Fryer Buffalo Chicken Drumsticks
If you are looking for a crispy, and flavorful drumstick recipe, this is the one for you! With a homemade ranch dip to go along with it, you will want to serve these at your next big get together, or just have them for a yummy dinner at home!
Ingredients
Buffalo Sauce Marinade
- 0.5 cup0.5 cup0.5 cup Medium Buffalo Sauce, (I like Primal Kitchen)
- 0.5 cup0.5 cup0.5 cup Sour Cream
- 0.50.50.5 Lemon, juiced
- 3 Tbsp3 Tbsp3 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil, (avocado Oil works too)
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Primal Palate Organic Garden Ranch Seasoning Mix
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Spice Islands Garlic & Herb Seasoning
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1.5 - 2 tsp1.5 - 2 tsp1.5 - 2 tsp Sea Salt
Meat
- 12 - 1512 - 1512 - 15 Skin On Chicken Drumstick
Homemade Ranch Dip
- 0.5 cup0.5 cup0.5 cup Mayonnaise - Primal Kitchen, (regular mayonnaise works too)
- 0.5 cup0.5 cup0.5 cup Sour Cream
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Buttermilk Powder
- 2 tsp2 tsp2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 3 Tbsp3 Tbsp3 Tbsp Chives, minced (green onions work great here too)
- 2 tsp2 tsp2 tsp dried Dill
- 0.5 tsp0.5 tsp0.5 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Sea Salt, heaping
- 0.50.50.5 Lemon, juiced

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
Marinade:
- Whisk all ingredients in a bowl until smooth and combined.
- Pour over drumsticks, and allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes. Fry in preheated air fryer(400°F) for 10 minutes, then flip and allow to fry for 5 more minutes or until internal temp is 160°F.
Ranch Sauce:
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl and whisk together until smooth.
- Dip your drumsticks in the homemade ranch sauce and enjoy! (I serve with rice and steamed veggies for a full balanced meal!)
Notes
*You will need an air fryer for this recipe. If you don't have one, you can use the oven and bake on 400ºF fro 30 minutes, flipping each drumstick at the 20 minute mark. Bake until the tops are a golden brown color. Though they will not be as crispy as an air fryer would provide, they still still be moist and delicious! *Highly recommend a meat thermometer when cooking any meat!
