Steak tips are one of my favorite cuts of meat that I receive in my ButcherBox. If you don’t have any steak tips or can’t find any at the store, you can still make this recipe. Just use your favorite cut of beef and slice it into 1-2 inch cubes. You will need to marinate the beef for 24 hours. After that, the recipe is easy and comes together quickly.

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. In a small to medium bowl, whisk the balsamic vinegar, coconut aminos, garlic, mustard, olive oil, and crushed red pepper.
  2. Add the beef tips and stir together to distribute the steak and marinade evenly. Cover and place in the refrigerator for 24 hours.
  3. After the steak has marinated for 24 hours, place a large sauté pan on medium heat and add the avocado oil, onions, and 1/2 teaspoon sea salt. Stir the onions occasionally and cook until they begin to caramelize, about 8-10 minutes.
  4. Add the mushrooms, steak with any marinade left in the bowl, and 1 teaspoon sea salt.
  5. Stir everything to combine and continue cooking until the steak and mushrooms are done, about 8-10 minutes.
  6. Serve with your favorite vegetable side and mashed potatoes.
