Banana Bread Latte Syrup
This banana bread latte syrup will make your coffee or matcha taste like a baked good!!
Ingredients

- 2 whole2 whole2 whole Banana, sliced
- 0.75 tsp0.75 tsp0.75 tsp Cinnamon, Ground

- 0.25 tsp0.25 tsp0.25 tsp Nutmeg, Ground
- 0.75 cup0.75 cup0.75 cup Ice Water
- 0.75 cup0.75 cup0.75 cup Pure Maple Syrup
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Heat the ghee over medium-low heat in a large pan. Add the banana in a single even layer and caramelize for about 3 minutes or until lightly golden brown. Flip and caramelize for another 2 minutes.
- Add the cinnamon and nutmeg and mash the banana with a silicone spatula.
- Pour in the maple syrup and water and bring to a low simmer for about 6-7 minutes or until slightly reduced. Remove from the heat and cool slightly before adding the vanilla.
- Once cooled further, pour the syrup through a mesh strainer and into a syrup bottle. Store in the fridge for a few days and add to coffee, matcha, or even pancakes!
Notes
The serving size varies greatly depending on how much syrup you want in your coffee or matcha! Personally I like to add about 2 tsp to my coffee, and then whisk 1 tsp with a dairy free half and half (like nut pods) and add it on top. Using slightly ripe bananas is the best way to go!
