Blackberry Coulis
A delicious substitute for blackberry compote that tastes great on cheesecake, cake, ice cream, and more. It is incredibly easy, sweet, seedless, and a wonderful complement to whatever dessert you choose.
Ingredients
- 12 oz12 oz12 oz Blackberries, (fresh or frozen)
- 3 Tbsp3 Tbsp3 Tbsp Cane Sugar, (add more or less per personal preference)
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Lime Juice, (can also use lemon juice)
Process
Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend on high for 1 minute.
- Pour the puree through a fine mesh sieve to strain out the seeds.
- Store the coulis in the refrigerator.
- This recipe yields 1 cup of coulis.
- Keeps well in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator. It also freezers well for a few months.
