Cabbage Beef Stir Fry
This stir fry with shredded cabbage and minced beef is low carb, incredibly delicious, and extremely addictive! The dish is packed with flavor and is so versatile. It’s the kind of dish you want to make when energy levels are low but the craving for a delicious homemade dinner is high. This simple Cabbage Beef stir fry with a few Asian sauces can also be made with minced chicken or turkey.
Ingredients
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Avocado Oil, (any neutral oil)
- 111 Onion, Small, sliced
- 4 cloves4 cloves4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Ginger Paste
- 1 lb1 lb1 lb Ground Beef
- 1 head1 head1 head Cabbage, Shredded, approx 8 cups
- 111 Carrots, Shredded, approx 1/2 cup
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
- 3 Tbsp3 Tbsp3 Tbsp Soy Sauce, low sodium
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Hoisin Sauce
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Sesame Oil

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Combine ingredients for the sauce in a bowl and set it aside.
- Heat cooking oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Sauté the onion until softened, about 3 minutes.
- Add garlic and ginger and cook for about 30 seconds.
- Add the beef, break it up and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
- Once the beef has browned, add half of the sauce to the beef, stir-frying to evenly coat.
- Add the cabbage, carrots, and red pepper flakes; continue cooking while stirring until the cabbage is wilted. Taste and season with salt and pepper, if needed. Stir through the remaining sauce. Serve warm.
Notes
Top with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
