Carnitas Inspired Pork
Ingredients
- 1 lb1 lb1 lb Pork Shoulder, boneless, cut into 2 inch cubes (see notes)
- 2 cups2 cups2 cups Onion, diced
- 111 Orange, juiced
- 8.5 oz8.5 oz8.5 oz Latin Inspired Flavor Starter Sauce - Mesa de Vida, (1 bottle)
- Salt, to taste/health needs

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Sear pork if desired. Add ingredients to the slow cooker, stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
- Serve as a stew, or over mashed potatoes, rice, couscous, quinoa, pasta, or wrapped in warm tortillas.
Notes
You can also use pork tenderloin. // Optional: Add 1-2 cups of broth or wine if more sauce is desired. // Works great as a sauce for your Instant Pot recipes, as well! Adjust recipes for your electric pressure cooker according to the instructions for pork.
