- 30 oz30 oz30 oz Kidney Beans, and/or pinto beans/black beans, rinsed and drained (2 cans)
- 29 oz29 oz29 oz Diced Tomatoes, undrained (2 cans)
- 15 oz15 oz15 oz Tomato Sauce, (1 can)
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Water
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Chili Powder
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Black Pepper
- Mild Cheddar Cheese, shredded (optional)
- Sour Cream, (optional)

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- In a 4 quart Dutch oven cook ground beef, onion, and garlic until meat is brown and onion is tender; drain fat.
- Stir in beans, undrained tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, chili powder, basil, and black pepper.
- Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, covered, for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- If desired, top each serving with cheese and/or sour cream.
Notes
Can easily adapt recipe to crock pot or instant pot.
