Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. In a large pot over medium heat, heat the oil and sauté the diced onions until they are starting to brown.
  2. Add the beef, tomato paste, and all of the spices. Let this cook for about 5-10 minutes or until the beef is nice and brown. The more you brown the meat, the better the flavor will be.
  3. When the beef is just about done browning, add the crushed tomatoes, mix well and let this come to a low boil.
  4. Add the beans and beef broth and then cover and cook on low heat for 25-30 minutes.
  5. Turn off heat and serve immediately with your favorite toppings or eat alone.
