Cider Pork Chops (Paleo)
Pork chops and applesauce are an old favorite, this is an updated spin and a one pan meal.
Ingredients
- 3 pieces3 pieces3 pieces Pork Chop
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- .5 whole.5 whole.5 whole Onion
- 20 pieces20 pieces20 pieces Baby Potatoes, Sliced in half
- 2 cups2 cups2 cups Green Beans, You can cut in half if you like
- .5 cup.5 cup.5 cup Vegetable Broth, or Chicken broth
- .5 cup.5 cup.5 cup Apple Cider, Unsweetened
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Sea Salt
- .5 tsp.5 tsp.5 tsp Italian Seasoning
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Balsamic Vinegar, Aged ones are best

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Heat a large skillet on medium for 2 minutes.
- Add oil and pork chops. Let sear for 3 minutes.
- Turn over and let sear on the flip side for 2 minutes.
- Add remaining ingredients and cover. Turn to medium-low and let cook for 30 minutes.
- Check potatoes to ensure they are soft in middle.
- Drizzle with aged balsamic vinegar.
Notes
You can finish this in the oven if you like. Bake for 25 minutes on 350 degrees. I love a good quality aged balsamic vinegar. The one I prefer is from Italy and aged 15 years. If you’ve never had one this old it is worth the money. It only takes a little and wow the flavor is so rich and sweet.
