coffee candied bacon
coffee + bacon… two breakfast staples that were meant to be together. ☕🥓
this coffee candied bacon is brushed with my homemade cold brew & BTR nation coffee bars.
sweet, smoky, salty, crunchy, & packed with just the right hint of coffee. serve it on brunch boards, with pancakes, crumbled over salads, tucked into sandwiches, or enjoy it straight off the cooling rack.
Ingredients
- 1 lb1 lb1 lb Bacon

- 333 Coffee Cashew Crunch Protein + Superfood Bar – B.T.R. Nation

- 1/2 cup1/2 cup1/2 cup Golden Monkfruit Sweetener (with Allulose) - Lakanto

- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Vanilla Finishing Salt - Texas Salt Co., or sea salt

- 2 oz2 oz2 oz FLOW: Original Medium Roast Whole Bean Coffee - Purity Coffee, see notes for a link to making my cold brew concentrate

- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Organic Maple Extract

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- preheat oven to 400.
- line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- evenly space out bacon on baking sheet.
- microwave BTR bars for 15-20 seconds to slightly soften, then crumble & mix in a bowl with monk fruit + salt.
- mix cold brew concentrate with maple extract, then using a brush, lightly coat bacon with mixture.
- sprinkle on BTR bar mixture to bacon & press in.
- bake for 15-18 minutes or until reaches desired crispness.
- transfer bacon to a cooling rack to allow further hardening & enjoy!
