- Preheat your oven to 375°F. Thinly slice half of the onion and add it directly to a casserole dish or oven-safe cast-iron skillet. Add the True Made Foods Honey Mustard, minced garlic, milk, eggs, and a little freshly grated nutmeg. Season with salt and pepper, then whisk everything together until well combined.
- Cut the crusts from your loaf of country white bread and set them aside. Cut the remaining bread into cubes and add them directly to the honey mustard mixture. Gently toss and press the bread down so it begins soaking up all that creamy sauce.
- Add the chicken. Season the US Wellness Meats chicken thighs with salt and pepper. Nestle them into the bread mixture, skin-side up, making sure the skin remains exposed so it can get nice and crispy.
- Quarter the remaining half of the onion and scatter the pieces around the chicken. Nestle in the bay leaf too.
- Arrange the reserved crusts around the outside edge of the dish. Gently press the bottoms into the sauce while leaving the tops exposed. As everything bakes, they'll turn beautifully golden and crunchy.
- Brush a little olive oil over the chicken skin. Bake uncovered for approximately 1 hour, or until the chicken is golden and crispy, the bread is browned around the edges, and the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Let the dish rest for about 5 minutes before serving. Remove the bay leaf and serve the chicken with a generous helping of that creamy honey mustard bread sauce.
