Trader Joe's cauliflower gnocchi has certainly made waves across the internet, and even though it's been years since its debut, I still find myself preparing it from time to time. This time, I'm giving it a sweet twist, stepping away from the traditional savory version. Coated in a sweet blend of cinnamon and sugar, and served warm - it's SUCH a treat!

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F.
  2. In a bowl, toss the frozen cauliflower gnocchi in 1-2 tablespoons of melted butter or ghee until evenly coated.
  3. Place the coated, frozen gnocchi in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are in a single layer and not overcrowded.
  4. Cook the gnocchi in the air fryer for about 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket or flipping the gnocchi halfway through to ensure even browning. Cook until they turn golden brown and crispy.
  5. While the gnocchi is cooking, mix the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  6. Once the gnocchi is done cooking, transfer it to a bowl. Drizzle the remaining melted ghee or butter over the gnocchi and toss to coat.
  7. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the gnocchi and gently mix until they're evenly coated.
  8. Let the cinnamon sugar-coated gnocchi sit for a minute or two to allow the sugar to create a sweet, crispy glaze.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, use frozen cauliflower gnocchi directly from the freezer.  The ratio of cinnamon to sugar can be adjusted to suit your preferred level of sweetness. A 1:4 ratio offers a balanced flavor but you may want to change that! Remember to shake or flip the gnocchi in the air fryer basket midway through to ensure even browning and crispiness. I love enjoying this gnocchi warm for the best taste!
