open-faced tuna melt
ooey, gooey, melty cheese. no more BORING tuna melts around here. mix your can of tuna with a sauce, some delicious add-ins, & throw some cheese on top. all stacked on top of my homemade grain-free bread (or a gluten-free bread of choice)… easy, peasy, protein-packed, & flavor stacked lunch!
Ingredients
base
- Tuna, Canned, drained

- homemade grain-free bread (click for recipe)
choose a dressing
- greek yogurt ranch dressing (click for recipe)
- greek yogurt caesar dressing (click for recipe)
- greek yogurt "honey" mustard (click for recipe)
Process
Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- in a small bowl, combine greek yogurt dressing (whichever variation you want to follow) + tuna & any add-ins you like (I listed a few combos in the notes).
- option to warm in microwave for 30-60 seconds.
- to a slice of bread, add tuna mixture & top with cheese.
- add tuna melt to a skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes to “toast” bottom of bread, then add a lid to the skillet to melt the cheese.
- serve with your favorite veggies, chips, or whatever side sounds good!
