Pasta e Piselli (Pasta With Peas)
This dish screaming childhood comfort meal and reminds me of my Nonna's house. This is my version of pasta e piselli - otherwise known as pasta with peas. Hope you enjoy this one pan recipe.
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil, (I used Zoë Olive Oil)
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Butter, Unsalted
- 0.5 whole0.5 whole0.5 whole Onion, (diced)
- 1 whole1 whole1 whole Chicken Bouillon, (1 cube used from the brand Knorr)
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Peas, Frozen
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Pasta, (shape of choice, I prefer using classic Ditalini)
- 0.333 cup0.333 cup0.333 cup Cooking Cream, (optional but I love it!)
- 0.333 cup0.333 cup0.333 cup Parmesan Cheese
- 1.5 cup1.5 cup1.5 cup Water
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Salt and Pepper, (to taste)

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Drizzle olive oil into a skillet along with your butter
- Add your onions and mix until they are transparent
- Add in your frozen peas along with your water, chicken bouillon cube and pasta
- Mix well and cover for about 5 minutes (pasta should cook al dente in the pan)
- Remove cover and give it a good stir (if it looks too liquidy, allow to simmer with the lid off for a few more minutes)
- Add your parmesan cheese and mix
- Add in your cooking cream, mix and now you are ready to serve
- Top off with salt and pepper to taste! Enjoy!
Notes
Adding cooking cream is optional. It's delicious without it! You can also sub regular pasta with gluten free pasta of your choice
