Spicy Tuna Lettuce Wraps
5 ingredients + ready in 5 minutes, this simple gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free and nut-free recipe transforms canned tuna into something truly mouthwatering + delicious. Use as much or as little hot sauce as you like. Perfect for a light lunch, easy snack, or quick dinner.
Ingredients
- 10 oz10 oz10 oz Canned Tuna, 2 (5oz) cans chunk light tuna in water; drained
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Vegan Mayo - Primal Kitchen, I used vegan mayonnaise to accommodate egg allergy
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Lemon Juice, Fresh squeezed
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Hot Sauce (Frank's RedHot), I used Frank’s Red Hot Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce (use as much or as little as you like)
- 10 whole10 whole10 whole Butter Lettuce, 10 butter lettuce leaves
Process
Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Add drained tuna to medium bowl.
- Next, add mayonnaise, lemon juice and hot sauce; stir to combine.
- Spoon tuna mixture onto each lettuce leaf. Add additional lemon juice and hot sauce over the top, if desired. Serve immediately (or pack tuna separately and lettuce leaves separately if taking as a travel lunch to work or picnic, etc).
