The Best Non-Creamy Potato Salad
I love a good potato salad but I don't always want the creamy, heavy kind. This version of potato salad is very light, still getting the taste of the potatoes with lots of delicious seasonings and butter. The thing that makes this potato salad different is that I place the lid on the pot and shake the potatoes so the butter and seasonings mix in that way. It breaks down the potatoes into a more "potato salad" consistency, which makes them a little creamy-ish, without totally breaking them apart if you used a spoon. Definitely give these a try! I make them for gatherings, and weeknight dinners!
Ingredients
- 6 whole6 whole6 whole Red Skin Potatoes, cut into 1in peices
- 0.5 whole0.5 whole0.5 whole Butter, Salted, cut into slices, then in half again (can do a whole stick!)

- 0.333 cup0.333 cup0.333 cup Dill, Fresh
- 0.5 tsp0.5 tsp0.5 tsp Steak Seasoning - Primal Palate, or italian seasoning

- 0.5 tsp0.5 tsp0.5 tsp Garlic Powder

- 0.5 tsp0.5 tsp0.5 tsp Onion Powder

- 0.5 tsp0.5 tsp0.5 tsp Salt

- 0.5 tsp0.5 tsp0.5 tsp Black Pepper

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Wash, pat dry and cut your potatoes into small pieces.
- Bring water to a boil and add potatoes.
- While the potatoes are cooking, prepare other ingredients.
- Boil for 10-12 minutes, until a fork pierces easily.
- Drain potatoes and return to pot.
- Add butter. Since you have small pieces of butter, spread them randomly and evenly around the potatoes.
- Add seasonings and fresh dill.
- Place the lid on the pot and shake the potatoes for about 30 seconds. This is KEY! Don't stir.
- Adjust seasonings to taste!
- Serve warm.
