These fun-to-make and delicious dirt cups are a healthier spin on a childhood classic. Super rich, protein-packed chocolate 'pudding' is layered with crumbled chocolate sandwich cookies and topped with chewy gummy worms. These easy dairy free dirt cups are the perfect treat for Halloween or any occasion.

Process

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. In a medium mixing bowl, add all ingredients for the 'pudding.' Stir together until smooth. Optionally chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour for a thicker pudding.
  2. Add chocolate sandwich cookies to a food processor or blender. Pulse until it reaches a fine crumb texture. Alternatively, crush the cookies in a large ziplock plastic bag, using your hands or a rolling pin.
  3. Divide pudding into 4 small jars, layering with the crumbled cookies. Top with more crumbled cookies and gummy worms and serve.

Notes

If not using protein powder, then add an extra 2 tbsp cocoa powder and an extra 1-2 tbsp maple syrup, or to taste. The pudding will be a bit less thick but still delicious! Chill in the fridge to help thicken. HERE are the vegan gummy worms I used! They're gelatin free and natural colored and flavored with fruit and vegetable juices. They're sweet, fruity, and chewy!
