This Crockpot Beer Ham with Pineapple is an easy and simple delicious main dish for any holiday or family dinner. Pineapple chunks add a sweet touch that balances the savory ham, while the beer keeps everything juicy and tender. With just three ingredients, this slow cooker ham comes together with almost no effort. Serve it up with your favorite side dishes.

Ingredients

  • 8 lb Ham, Butt
  • 20 oz Pineapple, Chunks
  • 14.9 oz Beer, I used Harp Lager

Process

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. Spray the inside of your crockpot with a nonstick spray.
  2. Drain the juice from your can of pineapple chunks into the bottom of the crockpot.
  3. Remove the ham from the packaging and place the wide end of the ham in the bottom of the pan.
  4. Use toothpicks and stab the chunk of pineapple into the ham with toothpicks.
  5. Dump the rest of the pineapple onto the ham or into the crockpot.
  6. Pour the can of beer over the ham.
  7. Turn your crockpot on low and cook for 6-8 hours.
  8. Remove with tongs and a meat fork when done cooking onto a serving platter.
  9. Allow the ham to rest 5-10 minutes after removing from the slow cooker before slicing.
  10. Slice and serve!
