Autumn Chocolate Bark
Let’s make some seasonal chocolate bark and recreate all the colors of autumn! Made with white chocolate and plant-based dye-free color, these chocolates are a sweet treat without all the junk artificial food coloring. Want in on a secret for how we got those golden hues? It’s just some nutrient dense turmeric! We’re all for coloring our foods with nature’s rainbow of colors. Ditch the Red40 (and every other number) and make these instead!

- Autumn Leaves/Flowers Molds: Melt your 6oz white chocolate chips and 1/2 tsp coconut oil together and stir until smooth (you can either do this on the stovetop or in the microwave). Once melted, separate chocolate into 4 mini bowls. Add blue color to one, green to another, pink/red to another, and turmeric (for yellow) to the last. Mix well. To create orange we ended up mixing the red and yellow together. Can also melt milk chocolate for brown leaves/tree branches. Pour into chocolate molds and have fun playing with/mixing different colors for your leaves/flowers. Freeze for 1+ hour.
- Chocolate Bark: Line a small baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Melt your white chocolate chips and coconut oil together and stir until smooth (you can either do this on the stovetop or in the microwave).
- Once melted, pour about 2 tbsp in one bowl, 2 tbsp in another bowl, and 2 tbsp in another bowl. Set aside.
- Pour the remaining melted chocolate onto the parchment paper and spread around so it lays flat and even.
- In one bowl, add 3-4 drops of red food color and mix.
- In the another bowl, add sprinkles of turmeric and mix (creates yellow).
- In the last bowl, add turmeric and the red food color to create orange. Mix together.
- Using a spoon, add 7 vertical lines of colored chocolate in a pattern (we did red, yellow, orange, repeat).
- Using a bamboo skewer, swirl the colors together in a figure 8 motion.
- Sprinkle on graham cracker crumbs to look like wind carrying leaves. Decorate with your previously made chocolate leaves/flowers etc.
- Freeze for 2+ hours. Once the chocolate has solidified, break it apart, and enjoy!
