Oatmeal cookies are one of the most superior cookies in the game. These brown butter oatmeal cookies are up there as one of my favorites since they’re soo customizable! Use any ingredients you have on hand and the best part is- they come together in less than an hour. See my notes below on how you can make these cookies your own! Provecho amigos 💗

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. - Preheat oven to 350F. Turn skillet to med-low and place butter in pan. Keep stirring until butter melts and begins to foam around edges. After about 3-5 minutes, your butter will turn a light brown color. Let cool for at least 20 minutes.
  2. - In a large mixing bowl beat cooled butter and sugars together until thoroughly combined. Add baking soda, spices, and salt. Mix well.
  3. - Add eggs and vanilla and continue to mix. Slowly mix flour into wet ingredients, I do about 1/4 cup at a time.
  4. - Once mixture is combined, slowly add oats and any additional mix-ins.
  5. - Use a cookie scoop or spoon to add dough onto a cookie sheet.
  6. - Bake for about 12-14 minutes.
  7. - Remove and cool on a wire rack.

Notes

How to customize your cookie: (Fat)- use 1 cup of browned butter OR 1/2 cup of butter + .5 cup of peanut butter (Sugar)- use 1 cup brown sugar + .5 cup sugar OR 1 cup sugar + .5 cup honey (Flour)- use 1.5 cups Gluten Free Flour OR 1.5 cups All Purpose Flour (Mix-Ins)- use raisins, dried berries/cherries, dark chocolate chips, walnuts, pecans, coconut, OR any other mix-in you'd like. Just ensure your total amount is no more than 1 cup total.
