Cinnamon+Banana+Almond Butter+French Toast
The French toast batter here has coconut sugar and nutmeg in it alongside the cinnamon, so the sweetness is in the bread itself rather than only in the syrup. Eight slices of whole wheat bread, dipped and fried in butter, ghee or coconut oil — any of the three works. What makes it worth photographing is the stack on top: sliced banana, a drizzle of almond butter, pecans, hemp hearts and maple syrup. The hemp hearts are the sneaky part, and nobody notices them.
