Gyro Burgers with Tzatziki
We love gyros and we love to grill, so we brought them together! These gyro burgers are excellent and the tzatziki sauce is so delicious on top. It's the perfect summer combo. ENJOY!
Ingredients
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Plain Greek Yogurt
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Cucumber, Finely Diced
- 2 cloves2 cloves2 cloves Garlic, Minced

- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Red Onion, Finely Diced
- 0.5 tsp0.5 tsp0.5 tsp Himalayan Pink Salt

- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Dill, Dried

- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Red Wine Vinegar, More to Taste
- 1 lb1 lb1 lb Ground Lamb - US Wellness Meats

- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Oregano, Dried

- 0.5 tsp0.5 tsp0.5 tsp Himalayan Pink Salt

- 0.25 tsp0.25 tsp0.25 tsp Black Pepper

- 2 tsp2 tsp2 tsp Rosemary, Dried

- 0.5 tsp0.5 tsp0.5 tsp Thyme, Dried

- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Oregano, Dried

- 0.25 tsp0.25 tsp0.25 tsp Garlic Powder

- 0.25 tsp0.25 tsp0.25 tsp Onion Powder

- 444 Sourdough Bread, 4 Slices of Large Sourdough Bread
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Butter, Salted

- 444 Lettuce, Green Leaf, 4 Large Slices
- 111 Tomato, 1 Tomato Sliced
- 0.250.250.25 Red Onion, Sliced Red Onion

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Make the tzatziki by adding the Greek yogurt, cucumber, garlic, red onion, pink salt, dill, and vinegar to a small bowl.
- Mix the sauce ingredients until fully combined and store in the fridge.
- Make the burgers by adding the oregano, pink salt, pepper, rosemary, thyme, oregano, garlic powder, and onion powder to a small bowl.
- Mix the seasoning until fully combined.
- In a medium sized mixing bowl add the lamb and all of the seasoning. Mix until the seasoning is evenly and fully combined.
- Form the lamb into four patties.
- Spread the butter on one side of all four slices of bread and place on a frying pan.
- Heat your grill to 400° – 450°F.
- Place your burger patties on the grill for 4-5 minutes, then flip and grill for an additional 4-5 minutes.
- While your burgers are grilling, start browning the bread over medium low heat.
- Generously top 2 slices of bread with the tzatziki sauce.
- Remove the burger patties from the gill, and place them on top of the two slices of bread with the sauce.
- Top the burgers with onion, lettuce, and tomato.
- Serve and ENJOY!
