Halloween Apple Slice “Donuts”
These spiderweb apple slices look just like donuts but pack the nutrient content of an apple… win win for the kiddos! Did you know apples are a great source of vitamin C? (which is why an apple a day keeps the doctor away!)
Ingredients
- 111 Granny Smith Apple
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Chocolate Hazelnut Spread
- 0.250.250.25 White Chocolate
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Coconut Oil
Process
Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- In a small saucepan on low heat, combine the white chocolate with coconut oil and melt until smooth.
- Take your apple corer and make a hole in the center of your apple, removing the core.
- Slice your apple into donut shapes.
- Spread the hazelnut butter on top of each apple slice.
- Fill your piping pen with the melted chocolate and make 2-3 spiral circles on each apple slice.
- Take your toothpick and smudge the chocolate in straight lines going from the center to edge of the apple to create a spider web effect. Enjoy!
