Healthier Twix Bars
Gluten free, dairy free, refined sugar free homemade Twix Bars! These are full of flavor!
Ingredients
Shortbread layer
- .75 cup.75 cup.75 cup Oat Flour
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Coconut Flour
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Pure Maple Syrup
- 3 Tbsp3 Tbsp3 Tbsp Sunbutter
For filling
- .25 cup.25 cup.25 cup Coconut Milk, Any milk
- 8 whole8 whole8 whole Medjool Dates, Soft
- .25 cup.25 cup.25 cup Pure Maple Syrup, Melted
- 3 Tbsp3 Tbsp3 Tbsp Coconut Cream, Just the thick part
For coating
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Dark Chocolate Chips
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Maldon Sea Salt Flakes

Process
Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Preheat oven to 350. Line a bread tin with parchment paper. Mix shortbread ingredients together & press mixture into man. Bake for 15 minutes
- Let cool while you mix filling ingredients together in a blender/ processor, scraping the sides as needed. Pour overtop shortbread layer & refrigerate for 2 hours
- Cut into 16, or desired number of bars
- Dip each bar into melted chocolate, sprinkle with sea salt, and place on drying rack to set
- Store in fridge
