Immune Boosting Citrus Smoothie
Now that winter is in full swing, I like to boost my family’s immune system with all my tried and true natural remedies. Our smoothie is packed with oranges rich in Vitamin C, carrots loaded with beta-carotene and Vitamin A (which helps your body create more white blood cells to fight off infection), dates rich with phytonutrients that can stimulate the immune system, manuka honey which is anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, and anti-bacterial (optional for our vegan friends), and ginger that produces strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.
