Pan Seared Scallops

Ingredients
- 450 grams450 grams450 grams Scallops
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Salt
- 0.5 tsp0.5 tsp0.5 tsp Black Pepper
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Salted Butter
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Avocado Oil
- 0.5 whole0.5 whole0.5 whole Lemon Juice
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Parsley

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- If your scallops are frozen be sure to thaw in the fridge and never at room temp.
- Give a quick rinse to remove any grit.
- Make sure to pat dry really well or else you won’t get a good sear
- Season scallops with salt & black pepper
- Heat pan on HIGH heat, then reduce to medium heat.
- Add your high smoke point oil( recommend avocado).
- When the oil is glossy, then you’re ready to sear.
- Add your scallops and sear for 2 mins, then sear other side for 1 in half mins before adding 2 tbs of butter and 2-3 cloves of garlic.
- Baste for 30-40 seconds.
- Plate your scallops add the residual butter a squeeze of lemon and garnish with parsley.
- Serve and enjoy.
