sardine huevos rancheros flatbread
another DELICIOUS recipe using one of my fav nutrient dense ingredients: sardines! i know canned seafood on it's own is stinky & not everyone's favorite, but all it needs is a few other yummy ingredients & you won't even know you're eating sardines.
Ingredients
- 5 oz5 oz5 oz Bell Pepper and Onion Blend, Frozen
- 6 oz6 oz6 oz Sardines, canned, drained
- 0.25 cup0.25 cup0.25 cup Salsa
- 0.5 tsp0.5 tsp0.5 tsp Smoked Paprika
- 0.5 tsp0.5 tsp0.5 tsp Chili Powder
- 0.25 tsp0.25 tsp0.25 tsp Garlic Powder
- 0.25 tsp0.25 tsp0.25 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 pinch1 pinch1 pinch Cinnamon, Ground
- 1 pinch1 pinch1 pinch Salt and Pepper
- 222 cauliflower crust flatbreads or buns (click for recipe)
- 0.5 - 1 cup0.5 - 1 cup0.5 - 1 cup Refried Ranchero Beans - Siete Foods
- 222 Egg
- 1 - 2 oz1 - 2 oz1 - 2 oz Cotija Cheese, or queso fresco
- 111 Cilantro, diced

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- preheat oven to 400.
- in a skillet, saute peppers & onions.
- add in sardines & salsa to veggies; cook for another 3-4 minutes.
- add premade cauliflower crust to a pan & bake for 5 minutes to reheat.
- add refried ranchero beans & sardine mixture to flatbread, then place back in the oven for 5 minutes.
- while flatbreads are cooking, fry an egg to your preference.
- remove flatbread from oven, then top with fried egg, cotija cheese, & cilantro.
