This spiced snack cake is absolutely delicious and is perfect for the kids. Don’t worry, the cream cheese frosting is actually healthy and they will love it!

Process

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a mixing bowl, add your spice cake mix, apple, eggs, butter and water. Mix together until creamy. Pour into an 8x8 pan. Place in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked all the way through.
  3. In a bowl, add your softened cream cheese, Greek yogurt and maple syrup. Mix using a hand mixer until creamy. Spread over the top of the spice cake. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
  4. Enjoy!

Notes

I used the Miss Jones gluten free spice cake mix and followed the directions, but added apples. If you use a different mix, be sure to follow what is on their box!
