Healthy Snickers Bars
Homemade better-for-you Snickers Bars!
These are a great a snack to keep stocked in the fridge before those Halloween cravings hit!
They're pretty easy too, only requiring a handful of ingredients!
Ingredients
Nougat Layer
- .5 cup.5 cup.5 cup Almond Butter
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Coconut Flour
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Medjool Date Syrup
Caramel Layer
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Medjool Dates, Soaked *
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Salted Peanut Butter
Toppings
- .33 cup.33 cup.33 cup Peanuts, Roasted*
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Dark Chocolate Chips

Process
Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Line loaf tin with parchment paper. Combine nougat ingredients together and press into bottom of pan
- Soak dates in warm water for 30 min to soften.
- Roast peanuts in oven for 7-8min
- Process the dates & peanut butter until smooth (will take several rounds of scraping sides)
- Pour caramel overtop the nougat layer until smooth, then sprinkle with peanuts, and place in freezer for at least an hour
- Once hardened, remove from freezer and slice into bars with a hot knife. Dip each bar in the melted chocolate then place on a tray and back into the fridge or freezer to settle!
- Store in the fridge!
