Cardamom Banana Loaf
A simple recipe for the fall time to make! A fun way to spice up your regular banana loaf!
Ingredients
Streusel
- 0.333 cup0.333 cup0.333 cup Granulated White Sugar

- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Cinnamon, Ground

- 0.5 tsp0.5 tsp0.5 tsp Cardamom Seed, (I used Josie's Sweet Caviar Brand)

- 0.25 cup0.25 cup0.25 cup Butter, Unsalted

Banana Bread
- 2 cups2 cups2 cups All Purpose Flour
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Baking Soda
- 0.5 tsp0.5 tsp0.5 tsp Salt

- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Cinnamon, Ground

- 0.25 tsp0.25 tsp0.25 tsp Cardamom Seed, (I used Josie's Sweet Caviar Brand)

- 0.5 cup0.5 cup0.5 cup Butter, Unsalted

- 0.75 cups0.75 cups0.75 cups Granulated White Sugar

- 2 whole2 whole2 whole Eggs, room temp
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract

- 0.333 cup0.333 cup0.333 cup Plain Greek Yogurt
- 1.25 cup1.25 cup1.25 cup Banana, mashed

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Whisk together the granulated sugar, all purpose flour, cinnamon and cardamom
- Pour in the melted butter and mix until the mixture resembles wet sand and set aside
- Preheat oven to 350F and line a loaf pan with parchment paper
- In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and cardamom. Set aside
- In the bowl using a handheld mixer, beat together the butter and sugar on medium-high speed until lighter in color and fluffy
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract and beat until combined, scraping down the bottom and sides of the bowl if necessary
- Add the yogurt and mashed banana and beat on medium speed until combined
- Add the dry ingredients and beat on low speed until a batter forms
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and top evenly with the streusel
- Bake for 45-60 minutes OR until a toothpick inserted into the center should come out clean
- Let cool at room temp before enjoying
Notes
You can make this ahead, slice all the loaf and wrap them in plastic wrap to place in the freezer.
